The December 8th issue of The Providence Journal featured our Soldiers and Sailors restoration project on the front page.
The area around the Soldiers and Sailors Monument is underutilized as a public space, often vacant, and the structure itself is deteriorating and in disrepair. With the receipt of a $10,000 grant, the DPPC has begun a fundraising campaign to repair the structure and the surrounding area. The entire project is estimated to cost $300,000.
The Projo’s coverage of the project and our fundraising campaign kick off was featured alongside many historical photos of the statue from its archives.
