Have you strolled past General Burnside recently? If so, you may have noticed that he got a facelift. Using funds received through a generous grant from The Champlin Foundations, we continued our ongoing beautification project by getting General Burnside ready for the colder weather with new plantings.
As part of our mission at the DPPC, we work to create an environment that is clean and welcoming to all those who visit. For many people who live in a city, a city park is their only regular contact with nature and the health benefits that come with having regular access to natural spaces. We want Burnside Park to be a place where everyone can come for an escape from the concrete of downtown. We invite you to pass through Burnside Park the next time you’re in Kennedy Plaza to see the plants.
If you believe in the beautification work that we’re doing, please consider making a tax-deductible contribution so we can continue this work.
