ROZ AND THE RICE CAKES and GIRLS ROCK! RI

Every Thursday in Burnside Park seems even more magical than the last, and this coming week will be no exception. We are thrilled to welcome Newport Folk Fest alums (not to mention all around wonderful people and brilliant musicians) The Rice Cakes! These local treasures have long achieved national renown. Don’t miss this very special chance to see them on home turf!

Roz and the Rice Cakes

Just when you thought life couldn’t get any better, the Rice Cakes will be joined by local openers from Girls Rock Rhode Island! Girls Rock! fosters empowerment in women and girls through music creation and collaboration. Show your support (and soak up some positive vibes and sweet tunes) by coming early this week to check them out!

(Want to see more from Girls Rock! Rhode Island? Check out their summer program showcase on Friday, August 14 at the Columbus Theatre!)

Join us every Thursday this summer for beautiful times in Burnside Park, replete with delightful bevs by Trinity Brewhouse, delicious food by Rhode Island’s greatest food trucks, casual jams by celebrity DJs, and, of course, the finest tunes Rhode Island has to offer, courtesy of a kaleidoscopic array of astounding musicians.

Each and every Thursday, July 9-September 10, the Trinity Beer Garden will open for business at 4:30 pm. Mill about and savor local brews or margaritas to the melodious sounds of genius DJs from 4:30-6, and enjoy live music from 6-7.

Vintage People Power

PLUS! People’s Power & Light are teaming up with us to GREEN four Burnside Music Series events this season starting this week –
powering up our musicians with 100% renewable energy! And check out Sol Chariot Pedicabs for people-powered rides to the Beer Garden (text or call 401-400-1765/1SOL).

For moment to moment updates (and the full series lineup) check out The Burnside Music Series Facebook event.

And thanks to this week’s Burnside Music Series + Beer Garden sponsor, Bank of America who makes it possible for us to bring this programming FREE to you!
