Friday the 13th was lucky for the DDPC this year. Students from the Wheeler School included Burnside Park in their day of community service. This annual event sends students out around the state in a day of community service to honor the school’s founder.
The DPPC staff worked with the students to prep our Imagination Center for summer programming. Kids were divided into three groups and enthusiastically got to work.
One team helped paint the kid sized benches and tables.
Another team planted flower boxes.
Yet another scrubbed the big blue blocks of our Imagination Playground.
You can check out more photos from the event here.
